Al Jazeera
Global media network Al Jazeera approached Territory to re-brand one of its flagship news programs that strips across the schedule, providing in-depth analysis of the day’s top stories from a uniquely human perspective. We worked on a myriad of elements, from opening and closing sequences to full-screen graphic backgrounds, social templates and OSP. The project itself was part of a wholesale refresh to drive deeper engagement with a younger audience, so we designed a visual language that is slick and streamlined, presenting information clearly and concisely – with a distinctly contemporary edge.

Opening Titles
Broadcast branding is always extremely rewarding and requires very close collaboration with in-house teams to ensure the creative delivers on all levels – from brand and editorial to technical. Firstly, we needed to design a system that wouldn’t distract viewers from the information being conveyed, whilst staying true to the channel’s news remit.
It was also vital to ascertain upfront that the execution would work not only for broadcast, but also studio projection and across Al Jazeera’s digital platforms.
